Her name is Leah-Boo.
She’s 3 and very healthy.
She’s hypo-allergenic/doesn’t shed.
She loves other dogs of all sizes.
She loves children of all sizes.
She’s good with cats.
She’s great off leash.
She fetches like a champ.
She knows her commands.
She loves car rides.
She has the most beautiful amber eyes you’ll ever see.
She was a dream to photograph.

Basically, she’s perfect in every way!

And you know what?  This lovely lady could be YOURS!  Leah-Boo is available for adoption through Loyal Rescue, if you’re in the market for a new companion I strongly urge you to consider Boo because honestly, this dog is fabulous!  Boo will also be on CTV on Tuesday between 7-8 PM, so watch for her there too!

ETA: Leah has found her forever home!  Loyal rescue received record amounts of applications for her, all so perfect in their own way.  She went to a family who had recently lost their Golden Doodle puppy at only 7 months old, and while I’m sure she’ll never replace their other dog they are sure lucky to have this fabulous girl!  Good luck Leah, we’re all rooting for you!

Gnarles the Boxer Puppy

As usual, I’m miles behind on my blogging, but I couldn’t put this post off any longer.

If you’re a fan on Facebook or regularly check out my Flickr stream this will be old news to you, but two weeks ago the Hotdog family grew by one, welcoming little Gnarley into the pack!  He’s fit in perfectly so far, although the other pets are all being way too easy on him (especially the cats!).  It’s hard to believe he’s already 10 weeks, and it’s also hard to believe how much he’s grown already!

If you’re looking for a fun event for you and your doggy this weekend make sure to check out the Animals R Us festival, hosted by the Northumberland Humane Society at Victoria Park in Cobourg!  There will be demos, fun for the kids (both fur and skin alike!), raffles, auctions…oh and of course the Hotdog Photography booth!

That’s right, we have a booth at the festival again this year, and we hope to see you all there!  Not only will we be raffling off a free photo shoot just for stopping by, but if you have been waiting to book your Hotdog Photography session we will have a super secret special package available with great savings over our regular prices!  But you have to stop by (in person!) to take advantage, so don’t miss out!

And don’t forget, the first 50 visitors to the festival get a fantastic goody bag filled with fun stuff from the vendors (even a Hotdog surprise!) so come early and stop by for a chat before it gets busy – and yes, I’ll be snapping photos throughout the day, so be sure to check back here to see if your pooch made it onto the Hotdog Blog!

Scugog Dog Days of Summer

Today I attended Scugog’s “Dog Days of Summer” festival for the first time.  I had a great time checking out the booths, dock diving and the agility…but most of all I loved checking out all of the visiting dogs!  I would be doing you a huge disservice if I didn’t get these two adorable little Poodles up here front and centre.  I mean, just look at those gorgeous ears!

I always love watching the dock dogs.  Some dogs were seasoned pros and others needed a little bit of encouragement, but in the end all the dogs did awesome and had a great time (and some of us spectators got more than a little wet)!
